For any do it yourself drywall project you will need to go to your local hardware store and buy specialized equipment to ensure you get the job done with no unnecessary interruptions. While some of these tools are costly, in the long run it is worth it to buy a high quality product rather than a discount run of the mill tool that you will have to replace.

There are no substitutions for the drywall t-square: this is a crucial piece of equipment for cutting and installing drywall panels. Most of the time you will use it to cut full sheets of drywall at right angles. Look for a t-square that comes with an adjustable heads (30-75 degrees).
